Day 61 ~ Albuquerque, New Mexico

What a gorgeous Saturday morning!!!!  John and I got up early ready to head to the Balloon Festival.  We "thought" we got up at 5:30am, but our clocks weren't set back yet...it was actually 4:30am.  Oh Well!  We got a super crazy early start to our beautiful day here in Albuquerque.

We headed to the Balloon Festival only to find out that there was no more parking available.  Wow!!!  This place is crazy during the festivities!!!  We found a small spot along side the road along with about 100 other cars!  The balloons are everywhere!!  The skies were super blue with wonderful puffy white clouds.  Couldn't believe the crowds of people.

After seeing the balloons, we went to a really big Arts & Crafts Festival.  This place was enormous!  Local artists from all over the United States come to this one.  The artwork was wonderful.  There was a ton of South West Artwork, I love it but it doesn't go with my decor at home!

We had such a relaxing day.  We enjoyed the rest of our afternoon at the RV park.  I even challenged John to a couple of games of pool.  We broke even, I won a game and he won a game!  No tie breaker, we were happy with the results.   I took a quick trip to the local Home Goods Store and enjoyed some quiet shopping time there.  Once I got back I made a wonderful Chicken dinner with all the fixing's.

We got the fifth wheel cleaned really good.  I put flannel sheets on the bed since it seems to be getting cooler and cooler!  Amazing how the temperatures have changed so much since we left Tennessee!  A good rest tonight we should be off to a good start tomorrow.  We are heading up North into Colorado and Utah.

Beautiful Day at the Albuquerque Balloon Festivities

Great Pool, but it's getting a little too Chilly to go swimming!

Hanging out together at the RV Park

  3. Georgia Wilson once gave me a picture of a balloon from the Albuquerque Balloon Festival when she visited there. When we were down there a couple of years ago we made it a point to go see ALL the balloons. You're right, crazy with balloons!!! ~ Keith
