Day 21 ~ Cedar Rapids, Iowa

It's Labor Day 2012 and we spent the whole day in Cedar Rapids.  Our morning was spent at Lori and Jim's house.  They were so kind to have the whole family over for a morning brunch.  What a spread of food!  Lori had made wonderful breakfast casseroles, hashbrowns, banana bread, there was fruit, and some yummy pastries!  So much food!  They had tables set up outside for all of us to sit at and eat.  Such a wonderful time!

Everyone left Lori and Jim's house to do their own thing this afternoon.  John and I fueled up the truck.  We were a little concerned because we couldn't find a gas station that sold Diesel!!  Then we went into Thiesens to just stroll around and then to HyVee's to get some much needed groceries.  A little later we went to the Lindale Mall and purchased a few little goodies.

We are really missing our dogs and are looking forward to picking them up from the kennel tomorrow morning.

Later that evening we had another get together over at Barb and Dave's house.  Beautiful home, great view of the rolling hills and cornfields.  There we visited and had pizza for dinner.  Just a lot of fun!  Good stories, just sad to see everyone go home.
