Day 25 ~ Cedar Rapids, Iowa

We decided to extend our stay here at Squaw Creek for one more day!  We've been busy sight seeing and visiting family so we really haven't had a chance to do laundry and get things in order before our big journey to Tennessee, so John made the call and we were able to get one more night at our sight here at Squaw Creek.

We found a really nice laundromat this morning and I was able to wash 5 loads in no time!  While I was slaving away at the laundry, John ran a couple of other errands.  When the laundry was done, John dropped me off at the fifth wheel so I could do some deep cleaning and play with the dogs.  John went to Coralviille to see the FryFest.  I just wanted to get things done, so I didn't go.  The FryFest is a one day celebration of all that is HAWKEYE, to kick off the HAWKEYE Athletics Season the Friday before the first home football game.

Later this evening, Dave, Barb, Jim and Lori came over and we all enjoyed sitting around the campfire sharing stories one last time before we left for Tennessee.  Barb brought over this wonderful cheesecake!  Wow was it yummie.

The weather was much cooler this evening than it was last Sunday night!  We are keeping our fingers crossed that we will get to see the fall colors here in the MidWest & South.  Unfortunately we had to say good bye to everyone tonight, things are packed and we hit the road tomorrow.  John and I can't express enough what a wonderful time we have had here in Cedar Rapids.   It makes us feel good  that we were able to enjoy what Jack & Madalyn got to enjoy when they came here to visit.
