John and Jackie's Midwest Journey: Day 27 ~ Hannibal, Missouri to Nashville, Tennessee!!!

John and I were going to get a really early start this morning, but little did I know that John couldn't sleep...so we left at 1:30 am!!! I know it sounds crazy, but after John got up, neither one of us could sleep, we were excited to get on the road, so we did!

We made a big pot of coffee and grabbed our coffee thermos and mugs and off we went! I think Tanner and Frankie were happy because they love sleeping in the truck. We drove until we found a cracker barrel in Illinois, we stopped and had breakfast. We took turns driving because we both started getting sleepy. We drove through a small portion of Kentucky. We could not believe how green and beautiful it was in this state. After a few stops to give the dogs a break and also to fuel up, we made it into Nashville around noon.

The temperatures are absolutely perfect! The skies are as blue as blue can be! We are staying at the Two River's RV Park. Our site here is absolutely wonderful. We couldn't be happier. In fact we might extend our stay here in Nashville because there is just so much to do. We had planned to go swimming in the pool after we set up camp, but unfortunately we were so darn tired, we fell asleep and called it a day!

Looking really forward to our first full day in Nashville!
