Day 24 ~ Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Quiet morning in the RV Park.  We had our morning coffee and play time with the boys this morning then decided to take a drive to the Amana's.  We had no idea we were going to be gone "all" day!  The Amana's are about 18 miles outside of Cedar Rapids.   Such a beautiful drive through the countryside.  Our time in Amana was wonderful!  Great shops and the people were extremely friendly.  We had to bring the boys with us today so we took turns going into stores.  It worked out perfectly!  It seemed that by every shop we went into they had a nice bench outside under a big tree or in a nice shady area.  It was such a fun day spent there.  We did not get back until 4:45.  Missed out on doing the laundry again!

When we arrived back at the RV we were pleasantly surprised.  Jack & Judy (Lori's parents) came by to visit with us.  Jack had to meet our boys!  We so enjoyed their visit.  So nice to have met them.  Lori is a lucky girl to have such nice parents.

Our evening ended with a wonderful dinner made by Aunt Pearl and Lori.  We reminiced some more.  Pearl was kind enough to play the piano for us.  What a nice evening!  We all said our good byes.  It's always difficult to say good bye, but we know we will see them all again.
