Day 28 ~ NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE!!!

Where to begin????  So many things to see and do!

We have booked our RV site for 7 days and now we are already thinking of extending it for longer.  Our camp here at the Two River's RV Park is so nice, we just don't want to leave!!!  The facilities here are really wonderful and we want to make sure we get to use the swimming pool as well.

Our first night here was a little tough because we were so dang tired.  After John and I took our showers we just collapsed from fatigue.  But, with a good nights sleep we were ready to go sight seeing!  A good cup of coffee and some homemade blueberry pancakes was the start of our day!  The RV park gave us their pick of doggie day cares in the area so we thought we would get that taken care of right away.  We were able to get Tanner and Frankie into this wonderful day care just down the road from the park and it is going to work out great!  We dropped them off and down town Nashville, here we come!

The weather could not be any more pleasant.  We are so enjoying the blue skies and warm temperatures.  As we approached downtown Nashville, we were in such disbelief that we were even here.  We have driven a lot of miles and it's just so exciting to finally make it to our dream destination!  We parked just down the block from the CMT building and walked our way through the down town district.  So much fun, and so many friendly people!  We saw so much!  We couldn't resist to have a praline, so that was our first big splurge for the day.  We hit just about every store and checked out all the saloons that downtown had to offer.  Wonderful music was being played through out the area....Crazy "Good" Music!  We decided to have lunch at the Spaghetti Factory before we took the tour at the Ryman Theatre.

After our lunch, which actually turned out to be an early dinner....we booked a 2:40pm tour of the Ryman.  Such history there and such an ambiance that is hard to explain.  You could feel the energy in the auditorium.  It was something to see and we are so happy to have experienced it!  Our Tour Guide, Halie was the best.  She really made it fun and was so knowledgeable.

Our full day in down town Nashville was coming to an end, but we know we are going to be back, there is so much more to see!  I believe we will be seeing the Music Hall of Fame either Wednesday or Thursday, just not sure what day yet.

We drove back to the Doggie Day Care Facility to pick up Frankie and Tanner.  Such a nice place.  The girls absolutely adored our boys.  We reassured them that they would be back tomorrow.  The boys were so tired, we no more got them in the truck and they fell asleep!

Once we got back to camp, we sat on the patio with a glass of wine and some crackers and decided to go to the Opry Mills.  It's just down the road about 2 miles.  Great shopping Center!  It just reopened 6 months ago.  Apparently the mall was completely submerged in water during the flood.  We spent at least 3 hours there, and returned back to camp around 9:30pm.

We have really enjoyed our day today and are of course excited to explore again tomorrow.
Excited!!!  Our First day in Nashville!
